See the six components

Six components of a successful knee.

Getting a knee resurfaced is a year of decisions and arrangements. These six are what True Knee adds to that year, and every True Knee surgeon agrees to the criteria that uphold them.

A 3D plan of your knee

Your surgeon orders a scan of your knee. From it, a 3D plan is made in your knee’s own frame of reference, so the angles are measured from your bone, not from the angle an X-ray happened to be taken at. Your surgeon reviews and approves one exact version, and you receive it with a plain-language explanation.

One path. Three steps.

You decide.

Know Your Tilt, your Fit Score, a True Knee surgeon, and a consultation where your anatomy, your goals and the plan come together. Your surgeon decides with you whether a True Knee fits.

Your practice connects you.

Your True Knee begins. Your surgeon orders the scan for your 3D plan, your Guide is introduced by name, and what you have already shared carries forward to the office. Services, people and any cost are confirmed before anything begins.

You prepare, have surgery and recover, with everything in one place.

The Readiness Score before, the Recovery Score after, and your operative record released to your record by your practice. Your care team’s instructions always come first.

Once your practice connects you, True Knee is your main connection to your Guide, your surgeon and your surgeon’s office. Information you share through True Knee carries forward, with your permission, so you do not fill out the same paperwork twice. Participating offices commit to this before your first visit.

Before you arrive

Your Guide coordinates your records, questions, goals and office requirements, then confirms the office has received and reviewed them. You only need to clarify missing details or confirm what has changed.

Straight to your room

When you arrive for your True Knee office visit, you are welcomed and brought immediately to a patient room. No clipboard. No waiting-room paperwork.

The details, in private

Any remaining questions, signatures, insurance details or payments are handled personally with you in the patient room.

How your Guide and surgeon’s office deliver this
  • One coordinated handoff. The Guide gathers information already supplied through True Knee, shares it through the approved process with your permission, and follows through on missing items. You are not the messenger between offices.
  • Ready before the visit. A named office contact confirms receipt and review, resolves requirements with the Guide in advance, alerts the arrival team and arranges a patient room.
  • No repeat intake. The office uses the information already provided. Necessary updates, confirmations and signatures are completed with you in the room, without a clipboard.
  • Follow through. The Guide confirms the arrival plan before each visit. If this is missed, the Guide and office contact resolve the problem together.

This is a required commitment for participating True Knee offices. Your Guide confirms the office connection and arrangements before support begins.

What your Guide does in each phase
01

Deciding

  • Prepare a report from your Fit Score and available X-rays.
  • Gather your questions and goals for the surgeon.
  • Arrange your first appointment and confirm the office has reviewed your information before you arrive.
  • Help coordinate surgery scheduling once you and your surgeon decide to proceed.
02

Preparing

  • Guide you through your educational tools.
  • Help you complete your Readiness Score.
  • Coordinate pre-operative appointments, testing and office requirements without repeating information you have already provided.
  • Follow up on missing information and confirm the office has what it needs.
03

Recovering

  • Arrange your first follow-up and coordinate a direct-to-room welcome with your office.
  • Help get your concerns and goals to the office before the visit.
  • Keep your scheduled recovery questionnaires on track.
  • Help make your reported progress available for follow-up discussions.

These are the responsibilities your Guide helps coordinate with you and your practice. Guide support is being introduced; your assigned person, availability and office connection are confirmed before support begins.

Recovery questionnaires are patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs): your account of how you feel and function over time. Clinical concerns should go to your care team promptly, without waiting for a visit or questionnaire.

Part of
something greater.

True Knee brings patients and surgeons together around a shared purpose: learning from each experience to improve the next.

The goal is to put meaningful data back in the hands of the people who choose True Knee—helping patients understand their voyage and helping surgeons evaluate and refine the technique and the patient experience over time.

01 / THE PATIENT’S EXPERIENCE

What recovery feels like.

Your comfort, movement and return to everyday life tell a story that only you can share. When you choose to contribute to approved research, that experience can help others understand what matters most to patients.

02 / THE SURGEON’S PERSPECTIVE

How care connects to recovery.

Participating surgeons contribute the clinical context: surgical details, follow-up findings and outcomes. Together with patient experiences, this can help reveal patterns and questions worth studying.

03 / TRUE KNEE’S SHARED LEARNING

A contribution to the next patient.

True Knee’s planned research program is designed to bring those findings back to patients and surgeons—informing preparation, improving the experience and studying ways to refine the technique for those who follow.

Your choice, always. Contributing recovery information to research is voluntary and separate from your care. Before joining a study, you will be told what data is used, who can access it and what choices you have.

The registry and collaborative studies are in development; research enrollment is not yet open. Learn about the research program ↗
