YOUR KNEEPRINT FROM A PHOTO
One photo of your knees.
Your print back in a minute.
Ask a friend to take one photo of both your legs, in shorts. Your phone finds your hips, knees and ankles, you check the points, and your KneePrint appears on this page: the pattern of your two legs, which way each knee leans and roughly how much, how common your shape is, and what a knee replacement would change.
No app. No account. The photo stays on your phone unless you choose to send it.
For the friend taking the photo
- 01
Shorts, shoes off
Knees bare. Stand on a flat floor in front of a plain wall, feet about hip-width apart, toes and kneecaps pointing straight at the camera, weight on both feet.
- 02
Phone at knee height
Crouch or set the phone on a chair so it is level with the knees, held upright. Held higher and pointing down, it makes knees look more knock-kneed than they are.
- 03
Straight in front
Face the person square on, not from the side. About eight feet back is usually right.
- 04
Hips to feet in the picture
Both legs, from the top of the shorts to the floor, filling most of the photo. The face does not need to be in it.
Distance does not change the reading: it is an angle. Camera height and facing square on do.
Your photo stays on this phone. The points are found here, not on our servers.
THE TRUE ANGLES
A photo shows the outline. An X-ray shows the bone.
Your photo print is a first look at which way your knees lean. A standing X-ray gives your angles and your CPAK type, the classification your surgeon uses, and a TrueKnee is planned from a scan of the knee itself.
